Their U.S. production facility happens to be one of the most energy efficient flooring plants in the world. Here are just some of the details:
- IVC US uses 454 solar panels to generate clean energy; its solar energy system collects enough energy to power 10 American homes.
- All IVC lift trucks are operated by rechargeable batteries, which are recharged through the energy collected from the solar panels.
- The facility contains a high efficiency chiller plant that uses innovative heat exchange technology to cool the manufacturing plant.
- The factory was designed with world class recuperators that are able to reclaim heat energy created during production and recycle it back into the manufacturing process.
- The plant is designed to run continuously, which uses less energy than production lines that start and stop throughout the manufacturing process.
- The facility’s emissions are 250 percent lower than industry standards.
- An advanced filter system is able to pipe emissions from the ovens and heating units used in their plant to an incinerator, which burns off all emissions so that the plant does not release any VOCs.
- IVC’s adhesive also features green-friendly qualities.
