Did you know that hardwood flooring actually increases the value of your home?
The National Wood Flooring Association surveyed real estate agents across the country. They noted that wood floors make a significant difference in the value in addition to the amount of time it takes to sell the house; houses sell faster with hardwood floors installed.
As noted by the association:
If a homeowner’s house is valued at $200,000 and $10,000 is invested in hardwood flooring the house will increase in value to $220,000 that increases the homeowner’s investment 100 percent.
Hardwood floors are known for their durability and ease of care. As an eco-friendly, sustainable flooring option, a lot of potential homeowners see the value in investing in a house that comes with hardwood floors. In fact, it's estimated that hardwood flooring adds a 20-25% premium to your home.
